Backup

Sam and I have a water distiller at home because we like drinking pure water. While it is great to have such a refreshing supply of water at home all the time, we have to 'make' water by filling up the water tank, putting it in the boiling chamber, and turning the machine on. It is not really that hard a task but it can get a bit tiresome, especially when we go through the water quite quickly and have to make a four litre bottle a few times a week. After dinner tonight, I poured myself some of the water we kept in the fridge and noticed that we needed to make some more. Me: Sam, Can you make some more water please? Sam: Why can't you do it? You're already up. Me: I can't. Sam: Why? Me: I have to make Christmas pudding. Sam: What? Are you making it right now? Me: No. He looked at me in bewilderment and rolled his eyes while I hurried downstairs to my study.
